What is a Khatma?

A Khatma is a collective Quran reading where the Quran is divided among a group of people. Each person reads their assigned sections, and together the group completes the entire Quran.

How do I create a Khatma?

After signing in, go to the Khatmas tab and tap "Create Khatma." Choose a title, select how to divide the Quran (by Juz, Hizb, Surah, or Pages), and share the invite code with your group.

How do I join a Khatma?

Tap "Join Khatma" on the Khatmas tab and enter the invite code shared by the group creator. You'll be added to the group and can claim sections to read.

Can I use the app in Arabic?

Yes! Khatma fully supports both Arabic and English. Go to Settings to switch your language. The interface will automatically adjust to right-to-left layout for Arabic.

How do notifications work?

You'll receive push notifications when group members complete their sections, when you receive a nudge, or when a Khatma is fully completed. You can manage notification preferences in your device settings.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time, directly in the app: go to Profile → Delete Account and confirm. This immediately and permanently removes your data — no request or email is needed. If you signed in with Apple, your Sign in with Apple authorization is revoked at the same time. If you run into any trouble, contact us at khatma.tech@gmail.com.

Is the app free?

Yes, Khatma is completely free to use. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions.

Which devices are supported?

Khatma is available on iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android devices.
